LOGO Rebreather TR300c (compact)

The possibilities of diving with an rebreather offers some great features. On the one hand there are the long divingtimes because of low usage of oxygen and diluent, on the other hand the silentness. I was interressted since middle of the last year in rebreathers. I read the most out of the web.

I had some parts left from the TR300 and I am looked forward to build a mCCR (KISS-Style) rebreather for deep dives.

The TR300c (compact) was born

The design based on:

  • Extensible scrubber canisterThe rebreather consist of a axial scrubber canister for 2.9 Liter (3kg) of sodalime.
  • Oxygen meassure.The oxygen can be messured with 3 oxygen sensors, located near the inhale connector.
  • Gasaddition.The diluent will be added through a “automated diluent addition valve” (is like a SCUBA second stage). In the same housing there is also the oxygen addition connected so both gases will be mixed before they will be inhale through the scrubber.The oxygen Gas comes through an needlevalve or offices. I is posible to connect some kinds of KISS-Style injectors e.g. Hydrogom.
  • Breathingbags near by the divers lung (on the back).The counterlungs are beside the scrubber canister. There are two bags (6 Liter each).
  • Changable, stable and save construction.The rebreatherparts are inserted in an PVC tube housing. All parts are serviceable from the top side.
  • Using of standard breathing gas cylinders.At the housing there can be cylinders 2 or 3 liter connected
  • Weight (empty without Jacket and cylinder) 10 kg
  • Scrubbervolume 2.9 Liter (3kg sofnolime)
  • Countelungvolume: max. 6 Liter
  • Housing: 18cm radius and 55cm in length
